Relationship between Stress Level and Oral Symptoms of University Students

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the stress levels through a questionnaire to mental and physical stress and to evaluate the subjective symptoms of dry mouth and oral symptoms. The study surveyed 400 university students in Busan and Gyeongnam, from 1 to 30 December, 2013. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and the purpose of the study was explained to obtain consent. The data collected through the online and SNS, 318 questionnaire used in the final analysis. The frequency analysis of the general characteristics and behaviors according to dryness of the mouth. Oral symptoms of stress levels was verified by cross-analysis, oral dryness was verified by the t-test. Statistical significance levels was p<.05. As a result, The higher oral symptoms were, the higher stress levels were (p<.05). All items of oral dryness is showed significantly, this high stress were more oral dryness (p<.05). Is effective in reducing the stress that affects the mouth and Leisure, sufficient rest and regular exercise. Will have to maintain a clean and healthy oral health through regular hygiene.
